Events
In addition to private and regular classes, Nature's Yarns presents regular and one-time events with a special focus on yarns/fibers, designers or new skills and techniques. All events are chosen with the goal of helping our friends and customers grow their skills and move their creativity "out of the box".
Nature's Yarns is also pleased to act as a gathering place for a number of local craft groups and guilds that that span all areas fiber art and design. See the regular meeting schedule for details.
Yarn Tasting
Date: Sunday, October. 5th
Time: 3 - 5 pm
Cost: $30
Featuring Tilli Tomas yarns. If you are not able to attend and would like to participate (prepaid), please let us know. We will put aside the tastings and honor the 20% discount on tasting purchases the day the tastings are picked up.
Garment Contest Winner Announced!
Date: October. 18th
Any customer making a purchase at Nature's Yarns will be able to vote! The garment with the most votes will win a $50 gift card for the garment owner.
MaggiKnits Extravaganza Weekend
Date: October. 24th - 26th
We'll kick things off with hor's d'oeuvres, followed by an exciting fashion show with models showing nearly 40 garments.
Be different! Be Bold! Maggie continues the weekend with her workshops to help you to think of your knitting in a whole new direction including tips on designing and even simple ideas worked from squares. These workshops are as exclusive and timeless as the many designs that make Maggiknits a fashion wear leader. During the 5-hour workshops, Maggie will personally guide you through the various steps that make Maggiknits unique. You will leave the workshop(s) thinking 'outside the box' with your knitting. All this combined with Maggie's warm personality, Irish charm, and great storytelling ability will make her visit an experience to remember. More details...
